Summer Skip Days: Party On PCH

Why is summer so much better than any other season, even here in LA where we don't technically have seasons? Waking up on a summer morning with nothing to do but find some fun is like winning the lottery. Here are some ideas on how to spend your earnings, as we suggest you skip out on work at least once before winter in favor of some much needed Vitamin D:

Sleep in, then pack your beach bag (lots of SPF!) and head out to Santa Monica for a bloody mary or margarita at Marix.  Afterward, grab snacks and *other supplies at the little market next door.

Leave your car and walk down to the beach for some volleyball and/or sunbathing.  The courts are literally directly below Marix.

When the breeze starts to chill, load up and head out to Malibu for dinner at Cafe Habana.  The grilled corn is like crack.  Or, for a super light & fresh, bikini-friendly meal, try Malibu Seafood.  It's BYOB.

Once you've had your fill, mosey over to the Malibu Country Mart movie theater for a cozy screening alongside the people who actually make the movies.  Bundle up and take PCH home with the windows rolled down - it'll keep you awake and give you sweet summer dreams.

*Technically, you can't drink on the beach
