Gift Guide: Girlfriend Gifts Under $25

We don't mean to brag, but we have something like a million girlfriends.  While this comes in handy after break-ups and on days when we need someone to sit around with in fat pants, it can be a bit rough on our bank accounts.  Bachelorettes, weddings, babies, and birthday dinners -- all of these things can end up costing more than our annual salary (which admittedly isn't tough to surpass). So when it comes time for the holidays, we like to conserve costs whenever possible -- without making our BFFs feel as if we don't appreciate that time five years ago when they helped to carry us out of a club. Sensing you may feel the same way, we've put together a short list of gifts under $25 that don't suck: 

Forever 21 Lace Thong Set, $9.50 for 4 -- Okay, so it's not an all-expenses-paid trip to Paris, but it's also not just another tchotchke you'll throw into a box and forget about.  These F21 underthings are just as good as Hanky Panky thongs, and for a fraction of the price.  To complete this adorable, feminine gift, throw in a tin of the always popular Rosebud Salve lip balm.

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me (And Other Concerns), $14.95 -- Mindy Kaling is a girl's girl, just like you.  She's also hilarious, and what's better than the gift of laughter?  In terms of books, we also like gifting Einstein's Dreams to those in need of a little inspiration. 

ASOS Loose Rib Knitted Snood, $21.56 -- This also comes in yellow and red.  For something that's a little more wearable on an everyday basis, we adore this leopard-print scarf from NastyGal.com

Self-Adhesive Designer Nail Foils in Pink Rainbow, $13 -- Who has time for a manicure? We're dying to try these and may actually pop on over to Live! on Sunset this week to pick up a pack.  

Stackable Initial Rings, 2 for $12 -- In our humble opinion, initial jewelry never goes out of style.  We love these because they've got a BFF feel to them, and because you can tailor them so specifically -- you can get her initials, her boyfriend's, her new husband's, or even her new baby's. 

Chocri Customized Organic Belgian Chocolate Bars, $5 and up -- It's sick how well we know what our girlfriends like to eat, but the knowledge will come in handy when designing the chocolate bar of your bestie's dreams.  Still trying to make BFF status?  Throw in a $7 bottle of Opala Vinho Verde, which is one of our favorites and can be picked up at any Whole Foods store.
