Friday Night In

You thought you didn't want to go to the much buzzed about music festival du jour. It's expensive, crowded, dirty and hot. But, now that everyone you know is headed out of town, you can't help but feel just a little bit sorry for yourself for having to stay behind.  That's why we've put together the perfect Friday Night In: Missed-the-Party-Bus-Pity-Party.  You'll need the following:

Almost Famous: It's true we'll use any excuse to watch this movie, but in this case it actually works with our theme. "I always tell the girls, never take it seriously, if ya never take it
 seriosuly, ya never get hurt, ya never get hurt, ya always have fun,
and if you ever get lonely, just go to the record store and visit your
friends."  In a past life, we were totally Band-Aids. *You could also sub in The Doors, High Fidelity, 24-hour Party People, Empire Records or this Coachella video.





Beer: We think you can handle this one on your own.





Acai: We can't count the number of acai bowls we consumed last year at Coachella.  Make your own (and no lines!).





Tan: You don't want to be the palest person in town come Monday.  See our recs for all the best in self-tanner here.





Cookout: Go to Salt's Cure, or Lindy & Grundy, and grab some real meat to cook up. This'll beat anything you would've eaten at the concert, if it's any consolation.





S'mores: Chocolate cures everything, and these fire-less s'mores are perfect for the festival-less.



We were going to rec a few places to hit up if you feel like getting 
out of the house, but the 2011 versions of LA's once infamous music 
industry haunts are too depressing (we think).  You're better off 
playing Penny Lane from your couch...
