Dinner for One: Blackberry Sangria
Watch Brooke Peterson mix up a glass of Blackberry Sangria here.
What you need:
Inexpensive white wine (preferably a Pinot Grigio or something that is not too sweet – you'll be adding the sweet)!
3-4 sliced blackberries
2-3 pear slices (thin)
Sparkling water
Fresh mint leaves
What you'll do:
Fill your chilled wine glass about halfway with white wine.
Add 3-4 sliced blackberries.
Add 2-3 thin slices of pear.
Sprinkle in 1-2 fresh mint leaves (tearing or cutting the leaves will bring out more flavor).
Fill the rest of the glass with cold, sparkling water.
With a large spoon, stir your sangria and, if desired, smash your fruit to unlock more fruit flavor.
Chill in fridge or add ice cubes--serve cold.
Repeat, as desired.
