Brookie P’s Jolly Jell-O Shot

Oh how I love thee… A day where I can speak in an Irish accent, kiss people who I clearly know are not Irish, and purposely not wear green to get a long-needed bootie pinch. But alas, ladies, even on the cheap I am not a lager girl whether it be piss-yellow or bright green.  So for the highlight of my St. Patrick’s Festivities, I would like to share with you a splendid way to drink green…or rather, shoot green, if you will!

The Jolly Shot

Ingredients:

3/4 cup lime or lemon soda

1/4 cup frozen lemonade (thawed out)

1/4 cup water

2 1/2 envelopes of plain gelatin

1 cup pear vodka (1/2 cup for you and 1/2 cup for the recipe)

1/2 cup Midori

Directions:

1.     Pour everything but the alcohol into a sauce pan and stir constantly over low heat for about 6 minutes.

2.     Remove from heat and add all of your liquor.

3.     Pour into a bread pan or small glass baking dish.

4.     Allow to set for 4 hours and then cut into cubes.

5.     Serve on a pedestal placed over Lucky Charms... Come on, you know it’s funny.

p.s. I suggest trying to convince your shortest friend to dye themselves green and serve these little nuggets of Irish love as if they were an actual leprechaun...offer to pay them with a pot of gold coins.
