The Hot European Getaway You Can Actually Afford: Berlin

In case you haven't noticed, we fantasize about hopping on a plane and jetting off to a faraway corner of the globe pretty much every single time our minds start to wander. (See yesterday's fantasy, here). Right now, we're particularly fascinated by Berlin, a storied city that is inarguably having its moment in the sun as THE place to be. So, we enlisted the lovely model, actress, fashion journalist, and Berliner Katharina Kowalewski to help fuel our newest travel fantasies. She has put together a weekend itinerary in her hometown that not only reveals all the must-see hot spots in the city, but also takes it easy on your wallet.

Without further ado, here’s Katharina with an itinerary that will ensure that we get absolutely nothing done today (other than obsessing over Berlin, that is)...

I just moved back to Berlin after several years in Paris, New York, and LA – and I love it! In fact, I love it so much that I am currently producing a movie called Berlin, I Love You

The first thing everybody notices when they visit Berlin is that it’s actually one of the most affordable big cities you can visit, so getting around on $100 for the weekend shouldn’t be a problem. Skip the fancy dinners at Borchardt & Grill Royal, and instead spend your weekend like a real Berliner!

Keep reading to see what Katharina has planned for your amazing (and potentially imaginary) trip to Berlin...
